Adding Creditees to a Gift

Hello,

Does anyone know if it's possible to add creditees to a gift that is already posted and in the system? We received a large check a few weeks ago and just found out it was actually a mix of money from 12 different constituents. If I cannot add creditees, how should I proceed? I am fairly to Tess and am currently using Tessitura 8.

    Hi Carly,

     

    You actually can add a creditee after the gift has been posted and it’s done as an adjustment to the gift. 

    After you load the acct in contribution editor, hit the adjustment button.

    Select the gift that needs to have the creditee added

    Go to the match/creditee button

    Add the creditee

    Save the contribution.

     

    You mentioned that there are multiply accts to credit.  Now you might want to adjust the gift out and reenter it as several gifts in the amounts that are to be credited for each account.  Having multiple creditees on one gift can cause some problems with reporting accurate amounts/creditees.
