Periodically - there are posts for who does cumulative tax receipts for a calendar year. There are many pitfalls to trying to do a comprehensive one but I wondered if any site has done one for its montly giving program? This would limit it to a single campaign (fund codes) within a given date range.
In setting up our monthly giving - we have an initial letter and then a installment receipt. Right now we are not printing out the installment but have in case we need to do a mail merge at the end of the year.
Our AppSupport is looking into what can be done but if anyone out there has something they can share it would really be appreciated.
Thanks for responding - I take it you do a mail merge process to these cumulative receipts – this is what I’m trying to get away from (though I have the acknowledgements set up so I can if AppSupport can’t determine a way).
We have assigned our monthly giving folks a unique fund code – so my thought is we will get a program that will *** all payments to that fund code. The catch as I see it will be the premiums being offered - I need those to be added to any receipt (though I’ve asked Development to only use premiums of insubstantial value so we don’ t have to care).
I’ll let folks know when we do the report because it seems like one we are all looking for.

We would also love to know best practices in this area. We have a monthly rolling membership and send cumulative receipts ONLY to those who have paid on pledges during the calendar year. We do not send cumulative receipts for all gifts - those receipts are sent upon processing the gift.
Even though we only send cumulative receipts for pledge payments, it is a very complicated and manual process that we would like to improve.
