Move Transactions to HH

Hello All,

I have a donor who had a contribution on her record in v10. We have been
on v11 since April 2012. A HH record was created for her and her
husband, and the original v10 record was affiliated to the new HH
record. It is our standard for the transactions to live on the HH
record. While the process of creating the HH and the affiliates was
performed it looks like the transactions are still on the original v10
record.

While in the record with the transactions I attempted to "Move
Transactions to HH", however it was not allowing me to do so. Any
suggestions?

Thanks,

Marie

I haven't personally worked with pledges, but if you have your V11 system set up to force all transactions to the household, that would be the expected behavior.  You'd have to decide whether you want to have your organization change that default (there are a few options for that) or move those pledges to the households and manage them from there.

Thank you Beth. I thought I had access to the Move Transactions to HH and it turns out that I don’t. hee hee

Yes, this person is a primary affiliate of the HH. I was trying to apply a payment to the pledge on the individual record and it automatically reverted me to the HH instead. Have you experienced that?

If I recall correctly, there's a security object for this, so make sure you have rights.  Other than that, the only holdup should be making sure that the affiliation type is primary between that individual and that household.

Make sure you pay close attention to how this works; for example, the last time I tested it, it would move contributions but not memberships.  Though that could certainly have been changed by now.  Just double check that everything you want on the household is there after you do the move.
