I understand that LYBUNT information can be found via the campaign giving comparison report. But is there a way that membership record NRR statuses can capture information on LAPSED and RENEWED donors? I mean these in the true senses of the words where lapsed donors have not given since one or more fiscal years ago, and renewed donors have given in consecutive fiscal years, regardless of initiation dates.
We would like for our membership records to reflect all aspects of our annual fund standings - numbers at each level, movement trends, and lapsed/renewal details - with reports to spell everything out. And the more automated we can make the recording process, the better. Additionally, no membership reports seem to show the NRR info as it is currently defined... ???
Help?
Julie
Hi Julie,
The Upgrade_ind is the macro trend. I don’t know offhand of a report that has both micro and macro. For us the macro level gives the best information of donor trends, since this looks at changes from one membership level to another and even changes within a level. Whereas the micro trend is looking at a change in the membership level category, it often has the same values as the macro trend unless it is a change from one category to another.

Thanks, T.C.!
I always seem to forget that you often get more report information upon exporting to excel. So that is very helpful to see the NRR status there.
Is there a report that shows both macro AND micro trends? Which does the Membership Details Report show? I don't think it mentions which, but I do see a column with "upgrade," "increase," etc.

The Membership Detail report when exported gives you the NRR status along with Current Status of membership, i.e. if either Active or Lapsed (based what you have set up to be lapsed.). It also includes the membership level and the Upgrade indictor, so if you have it in Excel or Access you could run some analysis on how many new donors you have at each level, how many renewed and how many reinstated, as well as how many are still lapsed. Also the pledge and avc columns can be added to see the total amount of dollars that went to that membership level.
