Fund association problem

We have a new campaign with a problem.  I created the GL accounts, created the Fund, created the campaign and attached the Fund, created the appeal and source_no.  Nothing new about that.   When we tried to enter a gift, we get this error message:

"The selected Fund does not have a campaign associated with it.   Please select some other fund."

I checked the campaign setup, the fund, the GL codes, appeal and source - all appear OK.   I looked at the tx_camp_fund, t_campaign, t_fund  - they looked ok, too.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Jan

  • Double check the date range of both your Campaign and the Fund codes.   Often the order that you enter items can impact the set up.

  • I am having this same problem with a newly created campaign and fund.

Jan, did you ever resolve it?

    Thanks,

    Keri

  • Keri,

Check your start date in your campaign.

  • I should have been more clear. Here are my notes regarding campaign dating:

    1. The most current campaign must be completely open for all dates in the campaign and it must also be active.

    2. The next Fiscal Year matching campaign needs to be set to active and dates are all to the future. (We use Odd and Even campaigns)

    3. Only two matching campaigns can be set this way at one time.  One current and one future.

    Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

  • If anyone in 2021 is experiencing this problem, associate your fund in a current fiscal year campaign. As it is FY22, our FY22 Individual Campaign has campaign dates of 7.1.21-6.30.22.

We were having issues processing any gifts to a new Fund that was specifically for FY23 gifts DURING FY22 with today's date as the contribution date (we wanted 12.9.21 for an FY23 gift in the new Fund rather than 7.1.22). To make it possible to process any gifts or pledges with the current date for FY23 during FY22, we had to associate our new Fund with the FY22 Individual Campaign (even though we weren't using it for FY22) as that Campaign has the fiscal year start and end dates that we are actively in.

If the new Fund is associated with a Campaign having current day active fiscal year dates (again, it is 12.9.21 and that falls in our FY22 Individual Campaign's 7.1.21-6.30.22 date range), Tess will allow you to select it during processing. As long as you have the fund associated with all future year Campaigns that you would like, you can also select those future campaign while gift processing.

    Hope this helps someone!
