Good morning,
I have been asked to inquire how other organizations handle Anonymous gifts when processing the funds. Thanks in advance for your insight on the subject.
Thanks,

We do the same thing here –
We have one record named Anonymous Constituent, where super anonymous gifts are recorded. (We of course have all of our mailing restrictions assigned to the record, so it doesn’t get pulled into our direct response program.) One individual enters these gifts separate from our regular gift entry process, so even development officers do not know who the donor(s) is/are. For donors who simply don’t wish to be recognized, we have their program listing name as “Anonymous.”

If they truly are Anonymous and not just the listing as such – then we have a separate record where these are posted.
