Hello all,
I recently promoted a large extraction to constituent records using extract constituents. I predated the Create Date to match with when the telefunding campaign would begin calling. I do not see the promotions in constituent records--will they appear on the day that I supplied as Create Date? Or did something go wrong during the promotion?
Thanks,

Hi Frannie,
Do you mean you updated the Start Date on the source code to a future date? If so, those won't popup until the date specified, however if you mean the Mailing Date in the extraction, I don't think that affects the viability of the promote source.
Thanks for getting back to me Ryan--
I had changed the Mail Dt field on the extraction header to a future date.
But--since I posted--these sources promoted. It did take them seemingly an overnight to do it, and their source numbers changed from when they initially promoted to the Appeal, and from when I looked at it again. Is this possible? Has this ever happened before? I copied down all the associated Source Codes after the extraction had finished extracting constituents, checked in records, saw no promotion, and wrote my last post. Two days later, I talked to our Tess Manager about it, and she found promotions in records--making me look a little crazy--BUT they were all different source codes from those I had copied down two days prior. Has anyone ever heard of this happening??
So they have promoted, but with a Create Date of my future date. The Start Date on the Appeal to which I promoted constituents is future dated as well, but the individual Sources have no Start Date -- just 00/00/0000. I assume this is because they were imported from an extraction?
I am prepared to write it off, as they are promoted to records the way that I want. But very strange.
whew...
Having source codes change from when they are created is not normal and you should have your Tessitura Manager look into it.
