Identifying Gift Memberships

I m ay be missing something very simple but how can I identify gift memberships? If I pull a list of new/renewed members using the Current Membership Giving report the donor name shows up but I would then have to look at each record to make sure none of them are gifts.

I've been setting up gift memberships using the 'Assign Benefits' facility.

Any processing tips would be helpful, thanks.

    Hi Katie,

    The way we do it is to run the 'Current Constiuent Giving by List'. Then:

    • We use a pre-made list with all current Members.
    • There is a configuration option for 'Include Creditee Type', we select 'Gift Membership', which is the type selected by our Memberships team when assigning the Contribution.
    • Save the Report to an Excel doc.
    • Sort the Excel doc by the column 'creditee_type'. This will group the Gift Memberships. It's cool to see the Member name next to the person who purchased their Membership.
