Gift Entry Mistakes

If you are using a controlled batch you are able to edit/delete a gift before the batch is closed.  Batches that are not controlled will commit the gift to the database when you hit done for that donation and would then need to be adjusted if you wanted to make a change to the fund/campaign, the payment method…  (Correcting a date can be done after the gift is saved.)   We have it set up so that only a few power users can use an uncontrolled batch, but all other gift entry staff only has access to controlled batches.  This way they can review the gifts and correct any mistakes before the batch is closed and committed to the database.
