Inactive members for a given year.

I am having difficulty creating a list that will give me members who were inactive from 1/1/2011-12/31/2011 and have not yet renewed.  I have been able to create a list of lapsed members, but I need to go further back to inactive members. Anyone know a critieria I can use to create a list of this type?

    Have you tried running an output set of Membership expiration dates?

    I have, but as I was clicking names on the list just to make sure it pulled correctly I noticed it all pulled current members who just renewed in the past month.

    I'm not 100% clear on what you're looking for but if you're looking for people who were members last year but have not yet renewed, have you tried the following criteria:

    Membership Level IN (your levels)

    Membership Exp Date BETWEEN 1/1/2011 and 12/31/2012

    Membership Current Level DOES NOT HAVE (all levels)

    I’m not certain what criteria you are using but you can use the exp dates and look for membership that DO  NOT HAVE  Active, Awaiting Payment, Pending, Deactivated, Cancelled, Suspended or Merged.   This should give you both Lapsed and Inactive with the exp date range

    Could you go off of contribution information? Our renewals are based on contribution date not membership expiration date so when calculating lapsed or inactive you can do a list comparing campaigns. Not sure if that would work for you, but might be a different way to look at it!
