We have just launched a new website which means our process for taking online donations has changed.
Previously I would pull the ‘On Account Tracking Report’ then process the contributions, create an extraction from the contribution batch I processed then use this extraction on TMS to send an acknowledgement email to the donor. We now use Wordfly.
With our new website, I no longer have to process the contribution as this goes directly to the appropriate fund.
I was just wondering how to acknowledge these donors?
Do I use the ‘Print Acknowledgement Letters’ report?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

If you have already set up an acknowledgment for the campaign/appeal that these gifts are going to, an acknowledgement will be generated and you can use the "Print Ack Letters" report. To check that you go to Campaigns - References and click on the Acknowledgments tab. If you don't have access to that area you should be able to double click on one of the gifts and then click on the Acknowledgments tab there to see if an ack has been generated.
If this has not been set up you can set it up for future gifts but for the gifts that have already been processed you can create a list based on contribution-appeal and contribution date - I'm assuming all of these gifts are going to the same source-appeal.

Thank you for your reply!We have the 'Print Ack Letters' report set up for donations & a letter is triggered by a donation that arrives in a specific fund. But.. is there a way of using this report to acknowledge donors by email? Or is there another way of acknowledging online donations by email?

The Print Acknowledgment Letters report doesn't include email in the output when you save to excel so you could either get the report modified or you could save the report as a list and export the emails from that list using an output set.
There are definitely ways to create automatic acknowledgments for online gifts. Its not something we do but I know several organizations out there have such a thing.
