Our development department is currently not using source groups for source numbers. We use the “default source group” for all source numbers.
We would like to start using source groups. Is anyone else using source groups? Would anyone share examples of the source number groups that you are using? Also, share a brief example or description why the source number groups are helpful.

As there is a limit to the number of characters in a source_name we have used source group to define part of the criteria we have used for selecting the customer.
As we have segmented our customer base we have a source group defined for each segment - we have 7 segments plus a group defined for people have booked but aren't segmented yet and a further source group for customers on our database who have not booked with us.
We also have sources to show our different membership groups and ones for special groups like Access and Students.
