TNew & Online Ticket for Fundraising Events

Hi,

Does anyone using TNew sell fundraising event tickets online? If so, would you be willing to share how it is set-up? We're trying to set up online ticketing for our gala and other fundraising events. Our box office can set it up like a concert, but then we would need to "refund" these ticket sales and re-enter as contributions so they would be listed in contribution history. Does anyone have a better way of selling tickets online for fundraising events? We do have multiple pricing levels (table, tickets, ads), etc.

  • We are selling the tickets like tickets to a concert, which goes into Ticket History/Orders in Tessitura. Then the box office manager refunds the sale, puts the money on account, and I enter the purchase as a contribution and put the money into the correct fund. This allows us to have these orders in contribution history. It’s a multi-step process so it’s not as efficient as I’d like it to be, but it’s the only way we could think of to make it work right now.

Did you ever get this up and running?  We'd like to do the same.  Christian's response was interesting but they don't use TNEW.  As far as I can tell the online donations with TNEW allow a patron to enter an amount for a specific fund.  But how would you buy 2 tickets to the gala?  I don't want the patrons adding up one lump sum.
