Using 'Interests' to manage invite lists

Hello,

I am looking at the best way to keep a list of people we want to invite to fundraising gala events.

We currently create and add a new Attribute to constituent records each time we have a big event (about 6 so far) and each time we want to create a new list of guests to be invited we use a waterfall of Lists that take in members, prospects, and the constituents tagged by those attributes. This is beginning to look untidy, and I wondered if giving people an Interest of gala events in the radio button of the Attributes tab might be a better way to go forwards.

Has anyone else done this, or have a better way?

Thanks, Katie

  • We started using Interests that way but since you can’t manage them globally we’re thinking about switching to attributes.  There is a Manage Attributes report to add/edit globally that is not available for Interests.
