Is there a simple way to adjust a campaign on an already processed contribution. We are in the process of restructuring campaigns. I want to get rid of a campaign and put the very limited amount of contributions that were processed in it into another campaign before deleting it. I don't want the transaction and process dates though to be affected, is this possible? Has anyone done this before? I tried to do it in TEST but it's not letting me adjust the campaign, looks like it wants me to put money on account which I'm afraid will change the transaction date. Any advice on this is appreciated. Thank you.
I can second what Ryan says. Backing it out and re-entering a new contribution is the best/cleanest/safest way right now.
I did submit an enhancement request last year to enable a simpler process for adjustment of campaign and/or fund on contributions. I don’t know when or even if we’ll go back to the old method of voting for enhancements (it’s on hold because most of the network’s efforts are focused on the NextGen project), but if we ever do, please feel free to vote for it! Personally, I’d love to see a few less $0 contribution records in our database, and a little less time spent by our staff making those adjustments.

Hi Chris,
I believe the only sanctioned way of fixing this, is to back out the contribution and redoing it. Yes, the transaction date will be incorrect, however you can backdate the contribution date.
Since we are dealing with financial tables here, I don't think you'll want to go messing aroundwith editing anything in the database itself.
