Hello,
If I have my excel file saved as a .csv and I import it as a list, how do I then take this list and mass update a constituent's account with annual ticklers. I am hoping to do this for donors that need to be called and renewed and want to set it up so that it pops up each year.
Thanks so much,
Erin
If it is part of a solicitation, in the contituent model there is "Update Task" option & you can choose your list on the upper right.
Sorry, in the Solicitations module- not constituent!
Hey Sadie,
I am fairly new to Tessitura, and am wondering if you mean to go into a constituent record, select Contacts, select Solicitations and then click on something in the top right hand corner there. I can’t see anything to click on and that is why I ask. Or is it a specific report or area that I am missing that will add many solicitation? Sorry about the ‘new-ness’
Thank you,Erin

If you Go To Campaigns, under Campaigns drop down there is a Solicitations option and then you would update tasks from there. The Solicitation needs to be created first in the records before you can add tasks.
Does that make sense?

Thank you so much, that makes sense.

The screen she is referring to for mass-updating solicitations on a list of peeps (the list you just created, in this case). You'd find it under GoTo:Campaigns:Solicitations. The solicitations would be tied to a specific campaign, such as this year's annual. Here's documentation on that: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/~/media/Documentation/Development/Solicitations.ashx
However, what you're asking sounds more similar to a Data Management Utility called Manage Attribute. I don't know if a process similar to the Manage Attribute Utility exists for the mass adding or mass updating of ticklers to a list - I've poked around and I can't find anything. Do you have a friendly neighborhood IT guy you could ask? There might be a back-end way of creating copies of a particular tickler and attaching one onto every account on a list. Hrm.
For now, though, I would say your best bet is to figure out a way of getting the end result you need with the Solicitations. Or, make some tea, put in the earbuds and create the ticklers manually.
Doh, Marta beat me to it.
I asked our grants manager, who uses Ticklers frequently, and she said she's been adding them manually and a mass-adding-ticklers button would be incredibly useful. You're on to something there, Erin!
Hi there,
I know this is an old thread, but I just came across it in my search. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to edit/update or close solicitation tasks en masse?
Many thanks
Emma
Hi Emma,
You can do this from CampaignsàSolicitations. Here are details: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System/Content/Solicitations/Updating%20Solicitations%20for.htm
