Hi
We are currently planning to migrate our development database onto Tessitura. We currently have regular givers who give monthly, quarterly and annually. The agreements are standing orders that are active until the donor notifies their bank to stop payments. We do not need to go through any renewal process as they are rolling agreements.
I'm stuggling to understand how best to migrate the data and how to deal with it once it's in Tessitura. I understand how to set up memberships, how to process contributions etc. - I can work out how I'll deal with new donors but I'm finding it hard to understand how the agreements I currently have will migrate. It feels like I'm trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.
Has anyone out there been through a similar process who would be willing to share some words of wisdom?
Best regards
Becky
Hi Becky,
When we converted from Raisers Edge we brought over all historical payments and put them in, what we called, RE campaigns which we then inactivated. On the day of the conversion, once we had verified everything, we added all payments that were to continue as new pledges. Any pledge with no end date is rolled over each year, rather than set them for x years in the future.
Drop me an email if you have any questions on that,
Gary
