I am interested in how others have tracked/reported matching grants. We currently have a match for new "members" and increases of more than $25. So, there really isn't a formula to apply.
I'm currently considering the following options:
1. Adding the matched amount and a new/increased note in the custom tab for contributions (I know this leaves room for human error...)
2. This is my far-fetched notion: Attempting to soft credit all the contributions with the matched amount from the foundation (the gift would still be in the Foundation line and not mingled with Individual giving totals.) Anyone hit a limit to the number of soft credits on a single gift? I like the idea of being able to see it in the record & run a variety of reports with the info.
