Finding the list in use

I'm trying to delete old lists that haven't been used in over a year.

List Manager will not allow me to delete any lists which are in use by another list.  "List is in use by other lists and cannot be deleted" is the error.

How do I track down the list/extraction using the list I want to delete?

  • In v9.0 if you try to delete a single list that has dependencies, the messagebox will tell you which list is referencing the one that you want to delete.  If you are deleting multiple lists, then it will delete all the ones that it can and you can try the remaining ones (which will be highlighted) individually to see why they couldn't be deleted.

  • I just tried this in the v.9 Beta and this feature isn't working.  It didn't tell me the dependency, merely that the list is attached to something and cannot be deleted.  As for multiple list deletes, in v.8 and in v.9 Beta whenever I try this, Tessitura stops responding, locks up and ultimately crashes.  I believe the hang up has to do with a list that has a dependency.  Amidst all of this, I'm glad to hear about this enhancement for the next version.
