applying a refund to a written off gift

Greetings!

Here is my situation: I had a pledge with a balance that needed to be written off, which I did. No problem! Now, I need to refund some of the money that was paid towards the pledge, but when I click on adjust after authorizing the refund to the credit card, it doesn't let me go into the gift.

Is this a situation any of you have dealt with? If so, could you let me know what you did to get around this?

    I had this happen to me once, and this was part of the response I got from support
    "Once any portion of a pledge has been written off, it is not possible to make any further adjustments to that pledge.
    Attempting to change the data from the back end is not a recommended best practice."

    However there is a way to change this in the back end, but I recommend you open a ticket on TASK to ensure this is what you truly want to do.
