Event Listing without Guest Names

Hi everyone.

Our new Director of Special Events is asking for a Gala report that will show buyers at the top levels for the past 3 galas. This is all fine and dandy...the problem I'm having is when I export it to excel, there are multiple lines per Tess ID because of multiple guest names.

Does anyone know a way to export the Event Listing report to excel with one line per constituent?

Thanks in advance...
Ryan

  • Hi Ryan!

The standard Events Listing report cannot be run without the guest names inclued.  But, I have a couple of ideas you could try.

First, if you are using Excel 2007 (I don't know if this can be done in earlier versions), on the Data tab in the Ribbon, you can select Remove Duplicates to get rid of the extra rows caused by the guest records.

Second, you could try using the Special Events Receipt Listing report as this report does not include the guest level detail.

Hope one of these helps you out!
