I have some questions about form behavior since I'm new to the system...

  • Tribute Form – when checks/online gifts (via Stripe) come in now for tributes, I do the following: 
    • My question is…how does this form take the above process into consideration, or does it? Mapping to the Tribute fund is easy enough, but to track what tributes are coming in so that I can accurately report out notificants, I would create the source and attach the contribution to said source. I’m not sure how I would do that (besides the lengthy adjustment process) if the gift is auto-recorded via this form in Tessitura and not attached to the correct source. If adjusting the gift after the fact is the only way to remedy this issue, what systems can I put in place to make the corrections a bit more automated?
    • Do the Honoree fields mean the same thing as Notificant? As in…the person or entity LO needs to notify that the gift has been made. If so, can we update it to notificant? Where would this information live on a gift record?
  • Other One Page Giving/Direct Mail Appeals
    • Most direct mail giving is to Gen Ops, but I do create separate appeals for each piece throughout the year. Within each appeal is a list of sources (segments) that are then promoted to each person attached to the lists for each source. At TLCC, I recall seeing something where you could customize the URL to match the source number – I imagine this source code-based-URL could show up on the remit cards and in emails sent to the respective recipients. I don’t know how to do this, yet, but I can see where it would be helpful and possibly critical to me being able to accurately assess how well direct mail appeals perform.
  • Membership Form
    • I assume we can update as our levels take shape (I don’t expect much movement here, if any, to be honest).
    • I would need to update the structure in the Memberships module to mirror the structure here.
    • Do we need to account for FMV of benefits anywhere? I’ve seen a few pages where the membership is listed with the tax-deductible amount in parentheses – I’ll try to source examples
    • Do we need to add a decline benefits button anywhere?
