We are about to process a deferred bequest to our operating fund. In the past, we have only processed deferred gifts to our Capital Campaign and Endowment campaign. The problem we are running into with the deferred gift to our operating fund is that they run on fiscal years (our Capital and Endowment campaigns are one big campaign, regardless of fiscal year). Though we are not yet using restricted funds in Tessitura, I do not think that will work as we have no clue when the deferred funds will be received.
Any ideas or suggestions?
