Hi All!

I often am prospecting from an extensive list. It takes hours to find all of the names in Tess. Is there a faster way to do this? Someone mentioned using the constituent import utility months ago,, but I'm struggling with how to utilize this tool. Does anyone have more straightforward directions than the tess documents or an alternate way to do this?

  • Does your list have eadresses and/or phone numbers, or just names?

  • During pandemic we were using eventbrite to sell vimeo streaming performances, and that's when I got most use out of my eaddress, phone number and firstname lastname list manager examples.   We developed a process to first, do a quick and dirty list manager hack to see who was already in the system, and then later imported using constituent import.  Constituent Import is pretty persnickety as you have seen, and especially difficult to manage if you're on RAMP due to having to get into file mover and hack import urls and run it multiple times.  It's one thing when you've made a bona fide transaction and quite another just prospecting.  I'd be glad to share my list manager hacks for lists of eaddresses and lists of phone numbers.   I have one for first and last name, too, using wild cards and salutations. If you've never seen or worked with manual queries in list manager, it can be a little daunting at first.  I only used a little until pandemic, then used a lot, so proven method to quickly find if the data you have externally is for constituents in Tessitura.

  • I'd love to learn this hack. We're approaching entering into our events season, so would love to find a way to pull Tess info against seating charts, etc. Would you be open to doing a Virtual Meeting in the next few weeks?
