Prospect Disqualification Process

Hello!

I was curious how other organizations track how long their prospects have been disqualified. Currently, when we have a major gift prospect who has been disqualified we put a "MGDQ" attribute on their record. Our team would like to be able to readmit them back into our prospect pool after 10 years, but I don't know if there is an efficient way to do this.

Does anyone have a process they're willing to share?

Thanks in advance,

Sheriece

  • Ooooh, that's an interesting question! Are you using Plans and Steps for these folks? My immediate thought is to create a step type of "Disqualified" and adding that to their plan as a step when they're disqualified. Then you could have a monthly scheduled report of the Step Detail report showing anyone with that step type within the date range of that month ten years ago (so if I were to pull it today it would look for anyone with a Disqualified Step added between 6/1/13 and 6/30/13). Just off the top of my head (and would require going back to those folks and adding in those steps).

You may want to also post in the Fundraising & Development forum as some folks there may have other thoughts.
