We just upgraded to v16 this week and have found that we need to make a change in the way we connect a membership to our donor society members. We have two different membership organizations, one for general membership and one for our donor society (starting at $2,500). In v15, the donor society membership organization was connected to our Annual Fund campaign and if a gift was above the starting level amount of $2,500 we were able to enter a membership for that donor. If the gift was below that starting level, we could enter the contribution just as a stand-alone with no membership associated.
This has changed in v16 and because we have a membership organization connected to our Annual Fund campaign, every contribution needs to have a membership associated with it. Has anyone also found this issue when upgrading to v16? We are trying to determine the best way forward and are not in love with the idea of entering memberships manually or setting up a separate campaign, for a variety of reasons.
