Setting security parameters around sensitive emails

Has anyone had success in restricting user access to primary emails that are considered sensitive using user groups/control groups/something else? The goal is to allow only a certain set of users to see and use these emails.

  • You can set a control group against an entry in TR_CONTACT_POIT_PURPOSE_CATEGORY - so you could have a specific CPP and assign it to this category.

I haven't done this so unsure of the ramifications of doing this on an email address that is marked as Primary but I'm thinking that some services will need to be included in this control group - like web and Prospect2/Wordlfy. I would have thought that if you allow your emailing system to access this email address, it will not prevent the visibility of the email address to people using this system.
