Tracking donor benefits

I'm not sure if there is anything out there- I have searched but everything that has come up is from over 10 years ago! With in-person programming and donor benefits back I am looking for a way to use tessitura to track these benefits, specifically underwriting shows/performances. As an organization that isn't a producing house we are unique- but I'm hoping to chat with some folks to see what part of tessitura they are using to track their benefits.

THANK YOU!

  • Hello Catherine!
I'll echo what Colleen has said - our organization uses Designations to track which show the donor is a "producer" for. We have a custom report built for reporting on Designations, but surely there are standard reports that show Designation. Alternatively, you could use one of the custom fields in the Custom Data tab of the Contribution Detail to track shows. Another thought would be creating a Plan Step with a Step Type custom made called something like "Underwriting Show" and put the show name in the Description field. You could report on them that way, as well.

For benefits we're currently using History/Premiums to track tangible and one-time use benefits. However, as Colleen said, v16 is completely changing the game with benefits and it will be so much easier!
