Hello. I hope to better use tessitura plans to enhance our organization's moves management. One initial question I have is how do others use the campaign field in plans for donors/prospects that you do not necessarily know yet what you should be tracking them towards? For example, lets say you just made a connection with someone, you want to track steps with them in plans, but do not necessarily know if they should be tracked toward the annual campaign, capital campaign, event giving etc. Does your organization use an overarching or general campaign to track these? Thank you so much for any insight!

There's a special kind of campaign called a Prospect Campaign which lends itself to this really nicely. We have a very simple structure -- Individual Prospecting, Corporate Prospecting, etc.--which we can use for this early stage. Then, it's pretty easy to re-assign the campaign when it become clearer how it's going to go. Of note, we've set ours up so they also don't have FY's attached, so prospects can hang out in them for a long time if needed (though the functionality to give them FY's does exist).
