Source Code Tracking with Wordfly & TNEW One Page Giving

At the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, we recently starting using TNEW One Page Giving for the large majority of our online donation paths. Depending on what TNEW form a patron uses (we have specific forms for different gift designations), their gift is automatically added into Tessitura with a corresponding Fund and Source Code. This saves our gift entry team lots of work and we’re generally very happy with the process.

In my role, I send out regular fundraising emails through Wordfly that I would love to be able to track via source code to gauge success rates. I use several source codes per email extraction since I often use variable content and segmentation in Wordfly, and it’s helpful to track which donor groups are responding.

Before using TNEW for gifts, a patron’s donation would be placed On Account and then our gift entry team would apply it to the corresponding email source code if the patron had one on their promotions and gave within a week of the email send.

Now that we use TNEW, every time I send an email I create a List Manager list to catch patrons that have given with a TNEW source code within a week of the email and also have a “click through” on the promoted email source code. Then, I ask our gift entry team to manually change sources from the default online TNEW source to the correct email source.

To streamline this and accurately catch donors that gave in response to clicking through the email, I’d love to be able to use a specific tracking link through Wordfly, leading patrons to a TNEW page and keeping that source all the way through to their gift being added into Tessitura, but I don’t know if that’s possible.

Does anyone else have some experience or insight on this? Thanks!
