We have been wanting to establish an automated ranking system in Tessi for some time but we're curious to know what other organizations have had success with them. What have you learned along the way and would you have done something differently if you can do it again?

In the past I made the rank too complicated. I'd make it simple and easy to understand. Think about how you might explain it to an intern or someone just joining your organization. If you could do that quickly. It is likely simple enough.

We didn't use proper Tessitura ranking, but have tiered prospects. The trick, it turns out, is making time to actually chase them down. My only advice would be to make sure you have the latter before you invest time in making the former.
Thanks Kate! I agree. It's no use going through the work of creating any kind of raking system or tiered prospect list unless you have the resources or system in place to then go after those people.
