Manipulating entitlements based on initiation date

Hi all. I've seen a few posts that touch on my question but nothing that completely covers it. We use entitlements to keep track of how many of their benefits our members have used. We would like to manipulate certain entitlements, but not all, based on the initiation date. So our question is, Is there a way to set certain entitlements to zero based on initiation date?

Thanks,

Elizabeth

  • Are you saying that you use the somewhat standard "Membership Entitlements Plug-in"? If so, we do too. Unfortunately, in the Client, there is not a whole lot of manipulation that you can do in bulk. If you have a strong SQL person, you can probably do it in the backend. We did have Tessitura Consulting create a Utility for us to update Entitlement quantities in Bulk based on a list. We did a big Membership Benefit switch on March 1, 2021, so we needed a way to add/update Entitlements to the new levels. Sorry I don't have a better answer, but know that it is  possible.  Here is a screenshot of the Parameters:

  • Hi Mark. Thanks for the feedback. Yes, we are using the standard plug-in. Our members renew on a rolling cycle and will frequently renew early to update certain benefits available to them, so we're no strangers to the limitations of the standard plug-in. We haven't gone the custom utility route yet, but it might be time. Thanks again!
