Elevated event challenges

Hello all,

We’re looking to expand our functionality for tracking elevated events. Some of the challenges we’ve run into using out-of-the-box functionality include….

• Creating seating charts (especially showing open seats for a table)

• Seating reports for paying event patrons who are also guests of another paying event patron – We want to count the person only once regardless of whether they’re paying, the guest of somebody else who’s paying,  or both.

• Tracking the specific seats of patrons and their guests for the performance portion of an elevated event (especially when a seat change occurs) – We want to know that Ann the Donor will sit in row 1 seat 1, Bob the Guest will sit in row 1 seat 2, and so on.

While we have our own ideas about how to handle these issues, we would like to know if and how you’ve tackled these problems, and the things you’ve learned along the way. Any insights you provide will be greatly appreciated.
