I'm new to this database. The e-calsses have been very helpful, but I'm still having troubles with extractions. I need to generate a list of donors who made a contribution LAST YEAR of $250 or less, but have not made a donation this year. What is the best way to go about this?

If you're putting together an extraction, one simple approach would be to create a suppression segment with your current donors. Then create a separate (non-suppression) segment with last year's donors of $250 or less.
Because you have the suppression segment, the results should only include your LYBUNT customers.
