Cumulative Giving List/Report for end of year letters!

Hi All!

Looking for some help or advise on how to easily pull a year end giving report (or a list with an output set) for our donors so we can send them one big here are all your donations made to us this year letter!

a few things:

We have many different funds, so we would want all he funds listed with the specific dollar amount given to that fund

We are planning on mailing merging so we can mail out to all our top people one nice "roll up" letter for them to have to easily have for their taxes.

Unfortunately, the new Cumulative Giving Utility does NOT give us the breakdown by fund, and you cannot save it as a report to use in a mail merge, and we do not have anyone on staff to help edit the HTML template to get that info updated to pull the fund OR we would love to just email these out to people with the utility.

Would love to know what people have been doing or do do - thanks so much!!

Thanks for sharing!

  • Hi Kelly,

If your preferred approach is to email your donors using the new Cumulative Giving Utility, we would be happy to have a conversation about how Tessitura Consulting can help update the HTML template to meet your needs. You can ping me here if you're interested in a further conversation, or you can email consulting@tessituranetwork.com if you'd prefer.

Happy to help however we can!

  • Thanks Colleen - wish the template came with "free" help as much like the rest of us, we do not have funds to spend on consulting this year or next year.  Love the idea of the Utility - do you think there will ever be an option for the Tes team to at least include a report with it so people could use it to mail merge if we didn't want to do email only.

I appreciate you reaching out! Thank you!

  • I completely understand and will pass both of these thoughts along internally--I don't know that we have plans for an export/mail merge version of the utility, but will definitely flag this for our Product team as a request.

    Take care!
