All of us have named places...for instance, at our zoo, we have named statues, play areas, & buildings such as the Lacerte Family Children's Zoo or the Gene & Jerry Jones Atrium. Does anyone have any advice or best practices of how to track these in Tessitura? Currently, we have a spreadsheet outside of Tess, but would love to get it tracked within the system.
It has been suggested to use Program Names but that doesn't seem like it accomplishes what I need.
I'm thinking of using Documents (new).
One of our goals would be to run a list by Document Category to see a complete list of named spaces and we could use the list to do a yearly audit, etc.
I like Documents (new) also, because we can add a photo of the named space.
Thoughts?
My example is slightly different, but we use relationships to track named areas. As we don't necessarily have statues, etc. named after folks, but we do track things like the Hall of Nations names carved in the marble. As it gets re-carved with different names over the years, we update those relationships in Tessitura. Therefore, Hall of Nations has a Tessitura record and you can see all of the records that have their name carved in the Relationships tab. We created a relationship type of "Marble Inscription." The start and end dates could also be useful in this example.
