I'm curious if anyone out there does e-mailed tax acknowledgements for donations. Our typical practice has been mailing out acknowledgments, but I don't want to see our acknowledgements back up too much while we are working remotely.
I know that Tessitura has e-mailed confirmations out of Ticket Orders, but is that a function that can be set up for Contributions?
What other techniques do people use to stream line this?
Any advice would be helpful,

Hi All,
In 15.1 Service Pack 10 we will be releasing a new utility that generates and emails tax receipts to patrons using HTML templates. Currently that Service Pack is slotted for release in early May. This utility was originally developed by our consulting team, and released at no charge a couple of months back. We made the decision to work it into the core application, and you should have access to it when you install the Service Pack in May.
We'll have more information coming out toward the end of the month.

The Cumulative Giving Summary Receipt utility is so close to what we are looking for to handle a sub-set of our acknowledgments. The downside is that it doesn't mark the contribution(s) as acknowledged with a Print Date, and the Tax Receipt number doesn't get assigned. Are y'all working on a solution that would work for us?
Hi Andy,
Currently, a Tax Receipt number is generated when you run the utility - in order for that to happen you do need a receipt counter set up for your acknowledgements. If you are not seeing a receipt number generated, then probably best to submit a support ticket for help setting it up. They should be able to get that going with you. The receipt number doesn't show up in the Tessitura UI though, as it does with a standard acknowledgement right now.
We are currently working on revisions to this feature to also mark the contributions acknowledged with a print date. Once we have that ready we'll post to the forums about it. I'm not sure which release it will be in yet, but we'll be sure to communicate when we have a better idea.

Hi Chris! Is there any way to include pledge payments made during a specific timeframe in the cumulative giving summary receipt utility?
Hi Taylor, we are considering several improvements to the utility with v16. I'm not sure if we'll be able to include Pledge Payments, particularly if the pledge spans calendar years. There are some challenges unique to pledges that we are discussing. Thanks for the suggestion and we'll have a look at whether or not this is possible.
