Hello Everyone,
At the Aga Khan Museum we have a challenge with usability of the Tessitura application through RAMP. Our development team has identified certain pain points and I wanted to gauge the response from the community to what our innovative software developer is proposing.
We are thinking to develop a web front end that utilizes the Restful API augmented with another database for specific use cases: email, sms, whatsapp correspondence.
The tool would allow for moves management without the cumbersome need to login to the Application.
The only aspect that would be missing from this toolkit is contributions.
I have supplied a mock-up below.
Would this be something of interest to your organization?
Hello Hussein,
This sounds like a very innovative project and we’re always excited to see what community members develop with our API. If you didn’t know already (and for everyone else’s benefit), we are revamping the constituent screens in our next major release, Version 16. We will be moving all of the functionality of the constituent window (with a few small exceptions) to a web-based interface, which will allow you to access that data either from the Tessitura desktop application or just using a browser. Attached is a prototype screenshot (subject to change) from our Technology Preview Mini-Keynote at TLCC 2019. If you have feedback about the screens as they exist today or other suggestions as we develop this, feel free to email hello@tessituranetwork.com. I’m also sorry to hear your colleagues are having trouble logging into the application through RAMP. We’ve been enhancing the login experience a lot lately, including single sign-on, mobile tokens, and a self-service page to reset Citrix passwords. We will reach out directly to see what we can do to smooth out issues you are having.
Thanks,
-Michael Flaherty-Wilcox, Tessitura Network
