DonorSearch Integration Issues

Hi all,

We are having lots of issues using DonorSearch along with Tess, and I'm wondering if anyone has found any solutions. It seems like when we ask DS for help, they don't know enough about Tessitura, and when we ask Tessitura for help, they don't know enough about DS.

1. When trying to use the feature to view DS profiles through the constituent record in Tess (Constituents > Constituent Report > DonorSearch Profile), if I have windows authentication off it works fine, but if I have it on, when I get to the "Enter Your Tessitura Credentials" screen it tells me my login credentials are incorrect (they aren't).

2. Bulk uploading the info from the DS batch screenings into Tess has failed multiple times. I've gone back and forth with DS getting new tab delimited files, and I've gone back and forth with Tess making sure my file was in the right place in the file mover/saver, and still it fails.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

  • Hey Ashley,

I wish I could remember what we had to do to stop problem 1. Overall...I am not impressed with DonorSearch, the integration it has with Tessitura, and the level of "support" we get from them. We've waited days for responses from them only to respond to their request....and wait days for another response. I would hope that Tessitura is evaluating this relationship and considering moving on from it. I don't know of many people who have had good experiences with DonorSearch.

  • Hi Ashley -

The Donor Search/Tessitura integration is in the initial steps of being refactored and brought under the wings of our in-house Integration Services team. We're anticipating that this refactored integration will be available towards the end of 2019. Until then, DonorSearch has maintained a support contract with the original creators of the integration and should still be able to work with that technology team as well as Tessitura support to resolve your issues.

I see support has been working with you on the first instance, please feel free to reach out if we can do anything further.

    Best.

    Heather
