Hello. Is it possible to backdate a new contribution to the prior fiscal year? The contribution was received in the prior FY, but did not make it into the system in time. I understand that when entering contributions, I should be able to change the contribution date by clicking on it, but my system will not let me change that field. Not sure if it's a settings/permissions issue on my part, or if there's something I'm missing. Thanks!
It might be that the Campaign associated to that contribution's Fund is closed? Or if the Campaign's dates are restricting you from entering the contribution, you might be able to change the dates temporarily. I would try in your Test environment first if you change dates. And I'm sure y'all are already doing this, but it's a good idea to keep the Finance department closely looped-in to whatever you decide on Hope that helps or sparks ideas!
Hi Dana - You need Edit rights to "Const Conts Source and Date" in order to "change the date and source in the Contribution Details window opened from the Contributions tab of constituent records." That can be checked in the Tessitura Security application.
