Closing out plans for new fiscal year

Hello all,

My organization uses plans that are tied to specific fiscal years, and we're looking for a way to close out the plans going into the next fiscal year. Some plans, where we have yet to receive a donation, we are planning to keep active to preserve the steps and just change the campaign. But for those plans where a gift has been received, is there a way to "close" them so that they remain on the record, but no longer pull into reports or show in portfolio view? Tips and tricks are most welcome!

  • Hi Signe,

    We use the Plan Priority field to indicate where a plan is "In Progress", "Gift/Pledge Received", "Declined", "Terminated" plus a few other options. I use this field to filter completed (aka not In Progress) plans from reports and our custom SSRS dashboard. This leaves the Plan on the constituent's record, but allows users to filter it out of their portfolio and/or reports.
