We are looking for a better check-in system for our events. Currently we transfer the RSVP report to a spreadsheet and check people off manually, then have to manually code our attendees as "attended" or "did not attend" in Tessitura. Our events are growing, which means this process can be slow and cumbersome. I have been looking at NScan, but if we started having people print tickets for our events, there aren't seats assigned to them, so would NScan update the right area in the Tessitura system? (We are looking at the History tab, then the Events radio button.) We are looking for something to save time when things get really busy. What is it your organization does?
I have typically used the "Manage Special Activity" utility in the Data Management folder. With a list of those who attended, we can update all of the records in one fell swoop. That speeds things up a lot, but we do still have to manually create the list. We're currently looking at making our sign-in lists digital (via Google Sheets or Excel Online), so that we can simply import the list of those who attended.
