I would like to generate a report from the menu of canned reports that totals all contributions made by a specific constituent group. I have the list built but when I run it against a report such as Fund Activity it only pulls the contributions that are hard credited to that donor group.
As a practice we hard credit the DAF and soft credit the donor sponsoring the gift.
Any help from the "community" would be be most appreciated.

Hey John,
The New Contributions report may give you what you need (I think you have to be on v14+ though). In your parameters, you need to use a list (i think it's best with smaller lists) and choose yes in the List Filter Acts Upon Creditee field. The Creditee Types are optional, but you may need to choose all of them - I seem to remember it not working for me when i first tried.
Alternatively, I've used the Fund Activity report without a list to cast a very wide net and then downloaded to Excel and filtered/sorted from there.

I think an output set would work well for what you're trying to do. You didn't mention which version you are on, but, like Mark said, this will be most useful in v14 or beyond. The upgrades they made to List Manger and it's inclusion of Output Set Builder is great.
Specifically, the Contribution_total_giving output element. The reference table for that field is VS_ELEMENTS_CONTRIBUTION and will include credited gifts. If you used that list and created an output set that includes Contribution_total_giving, it would sum all contributions owned by, initiated by, or credited to the customers in the list. Also, the new output set builder includes filtering if you decided you wanted to limit the sum by campaign or any number of other filter options.
