Hi Everyone,We have a growing number of high-level donors (maybe 10 people right now) who wish for their assistants to be copied on any event invitation emails they receive. My first idea was to include these people in a separate segment in the extraction with the "Add Associated Constituents" relationship option. This idea was discarded because the events team wants everyone to be included in the segment they would naturally fall into and not in one umbrella segment. I don't want to create double the segments for each original segment to make sure these people are selected with the rest of their group, so I didn't suggest that idea. The second idea was to create a research note type with instructions on what to do for these individuals and include that note type in the output of the extraction. I don't really like this because I can't promote the original extraction to the manually added accounts and it creates more manual work for the special events team, which leaves more room for error. We don't really use contact point purposes in any specific way right now so that's not helpful either.Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!Allison
Hi Allison,
I guess it might depend on the email system you use - are you with either Wordfly or mail2/prospect2?
Perhaps you could apply the assistant's email address onto the high level donor account record, marking them with either a specific email address type or contact point purpose?
Martin
We use Wordfly. We also don't use contact point purposes for anything other than unsubscribe. I thought about adding the assistant's email to the account, but Wordfly will send to the primary email from the account. Unless I make that email primary (which I don't want to do), it wouldn't be sent anyway.
