We are in a tough spot and I hope someone can help us think this through. This is cross-posted on Administration, Fundraising and Ticketing to get as much input as possible.
The organization wants to sell an “add-on” benefit to membership that makes all film admissions free. The issue is that the benefit is only available to individuals. For household constituents with household/dual membership, this means that we have to do two sales so that we “write” to each record.
The bigger problem is that after selling to a household constituent, it seems that only in the contributions tab can we see which person “owns” the film add-on. The box office doesn’t have access to those records and, it seems impractical to go searching when a member comes in to verify that BOTH have a film add-on or that only one does and the other is required to pay for their film admission.
Is there a feature that we aren’t taking advantage of? Thank you for any feedback about how to approach this. I can hear Gawain now: “never come up with a clever idea before seeing if it is possible to implement.”
