Deceased Donor with an Active Pledge

Hey guys,

We have a donor who recently passed who has an open pledge. We won't be able to write off his pledge until the end of the fiscal year so we aren't able to inactivate his record.

We're trying to avoid pulling him in our reports, lists, and extractions. So far we've added our Do Not Contact attributes to his record as well as inactivated his membership. Do any of you have any other tips on how to make sure he isn't pulled in lists not created in Extractions and reporting?

Thanks!

    HI Anastasia,

Personally, i would write off the pledge and then inactivate the record.  If that's not an option for you, then you could mark him deceased and inactivate the record for now.  Then, when you do your write offs, you could activate the record, write of the pledge and inactivate it again.
