Anyone know why the Plans tab was removed in the new version of Tessitura? Very disappointed as it makes this very convoluted tab even harder to get to...! I was hoping there was a way to customize tabs but don't believe that's possible.
Elizabeth,
If you're a Plan Worker wanting a quick view of all your assigned plans (and links from said view to go into each plan individually), you could always change your User Preferences (the "gear" icon in the bar just underneath the "File", "GoTo", etc.) to "Show My Portfolio at Login".
Not a perfect fix, but something to consider if you're looking for a way to more quickly hop into your Plans.
Thank you,
Brian
I've been bummed about this change since I heard about it as plans is SUCH an important area for development. Is it going to change to its own tab again in V.15?
In Version 15 (the Analytics Release), this doesn't change. As we rewrite the Constituent record as a web application, we are thinking of an interface where you can favorite particular pages, so thanks for this feedback.
Thank you, Chuck. That sounds like it could be a good option for folks in development as I know at least 12 people on my team who use plans constantly every day. We are really disappointed that it's not in its own tab anymore.
I agree Gina! We are still on 12.5 so have it as a tab still and have been using it much more. It is pretty much THE most essential development tool for a team working in development! I've moved from Raiser's Edge (at another organization) to Tessitura six months ago and have found the transition gruelling - Tessitura does not seem to be focused on development much at all, and much more focused on people with IT skills than users who are development/relationship/strategically focused. Ergh!
I hope you are attending the conference. I know that Tessitura does listen to users and try to incorporate feedback into future updates. I'd also love to see a big overhaul of the elevated events area. I know I attended a road map session on this topic back in maybe 2012 and since then I have not heard anything about it. I'd love to know where that is in the agenda for future releases.
Yes, I am attending the conference!
Wonderful! I hope to meet you there!
And I'm probably repeating something that everyone knows already, but you can set the system so that the Constituent record always opens to the last opened page. So that if you're working in Plans all the time, the next constituent you open will go right to the Plans screen. I know it's not the same as having its own tab, but just tossing out ideas here!
That's good to know, thanks Chuck
Chuck - thank you for that information. How do I set my system to do that if you don't mind sharing?
great - thank you very much!
