Manually adding an acknowledgement letter

I changed some of the acknowledgement rules this year, and only realised after a few transactions had been processed that they weren't working exactly as I'd hoped. 

I've fixed the setup issue now, but have some existing contributions that did not have any acknowledgement letter applied. Is there any way to manually apply an acknowledgement letter to a bunch of contributions?

    You can assign an acknowledgement letter to a contribution with an adjustment.  After you load the gift in the contribution editor, you can go to the ack tab and manually select a letter—per your rules the letters should appear in the list of options.
     
    We have customized the ack letter report, and if I remember correctly, the ack letters assigned with an adjustment won’t pull in our custom report, only in the canned network report.
