We are a nonprofit presenting performing arts center. I would appreciate responses on one or both topics:
1. For cumulative giving totals for naming opportunities and other benefits, what do you include in a patron's total? For example: do you include only gifts to the endowment and capital campaigns for construction? Or do you also include annual funding gifts (Memberships, sponsorships, etc.) in a patron's cumulative total on giving?
2. As development director on a small staff, I am responsible for all aspects of fundraising. We may enlist the services of a company that specializes in planned giving marketing - to help us develop digital and print content. We would like for this same company to have the expertise to advise us on planned giving strategy. This is not for a campaign - but for our ongoing program. Can you please give me suggestions based on your experience?
