One time Lists

Hi there

Is there a quicker way of creating a Guest List that is for a one time only purpose (i.e. the launch of a specific performance or outdoor fesival), aside from adding people one by one into a blank list? i.e. bringing many handfuls of names from many already established lists or various constituency tags/codes/lists

I.e. when our CEO wants a range of people invited who do not neatly sit in one list only, and may be in many categories, or only certain people from a constituency tag, for example.

We are currently struggling with this and it is becoming very time consuming!

Any advice greatfully received!

  • I use an extraction to create a review list for events that includes individuals from all possible categories that might be invited, and then put all the selected individuals into a spreadsheet, along with a column that indicates why they were selected (basically, this is the keycode description from the extraction).  The spreadsheet circulates around the department, and people indicate, in a specific column on the spreadsheet,  who from the larger list should be invited.

I then select just the “invited” ids from the spreadsheet, and import them into a new list in Tess. We’ve used this process for several years, and it has worked well for us.
